I have only just started this open water swimming Jan 07 as another personal challenge to myself.

I have been training in Hawley Lake in Surrey most days in between teaching the young officers fresh from Sandhurst for the last few months.

I am based in Aldershot and have another few years before my time comes to an end in the Army.

I plan to continue with the open water swimming to also encourage other members of the Royal Engineers that this is not just plain madness but very rewarding especially on completion of any race or challenge.
