Kev Hutson

Kev, why are you doing this swim? Whenever I find a new challenge I always take it to the extreme. I’m new to open water swimming and what bigger challenge is there than swimming the Channel?

Kev's new towel is a hit

What next? This year I’m part of the best relay team (?!) and I’m trying to learn as much about swimming the Channel as I can to prepare myself for my own solo attempt. I live for the challenge and intend this Channel adventure to be one of the sporting highlights of my military career.

Kev proudly wears the changing towel lovingly made by his wife.

Kev stretches

Kev knows how important stretching is before undertaking any sporting activity. Wearing a pained expression ensures everyone knows you’re doing it properly.

The right frame of mind is essential. Kev’s favourite sucky cup helps him concentrate as he psychs himself up.
